The 3 types of child car seat available for rent in Cluj

Infant carrier for babies (0-13 kg)

The option for rent a car with a baby seat: suitable for newborns and babies, usually up to 12-15 months. It detaches from its base so you can carry a sleeping child without waking them, and some models also click onto a stroller.

Standard child seat (9-25 kg)

For children from about 9 months to 4-5 years. It has its own 5-point harness and gives full support for the head, neck and body throughout the journey.

Booster seat (15-36 kg)

For older children, about 4-12 years. It simply raises the child to the right height so the car seat belt runs correctly over the shoulder and hips, not over the neck or stomach.

Frequently asked questions about car rental with a child seat in Cluj

It depends on the age and weight of your child. The infant carrier suits newborns and babies up to about 13 kg (0-12/15 months). The standard child seat covers the middle range, about 9-25 kg (from 9 months to 4-5 years). The booster is for older children, about 15-36 kg (4-12 years), and simply raises the child so the car seat belt sits correctly. If you are not sure which one fits, tell us the age and weight of your child when booking the rental car and we will help you choose.

The price drops the more days you rent: 10€ for a single day, then a lower and lower daily rate as the period grows, down to 1€/day on rentals of over 30 days. See the full table below for each range. The price is added to the rental car booking as an extra option and is shown clearly in the booking summary before confirmation.

Yes. Our seats are checked regularly and fitted by our team when the car is handed over, following the manufacturer's instructions, so they are properly secured before you set off. If you have any questions about the installation or want to check the fitting yourself before leaving, our colleagues will gladly show you at pick-up.

The easiest way is to mention the type of seat you need (infant carrier, standard or booster) and the age of your child in the notes field of the online booking, or to call us or write to us on WhatsApp after sending the booking. We confirm availability and prepare it fitted and ready to go when the car is handed over.
