How the group discount works

  • Book at least 2 cars from our fleet, for the same period or overlapping periods.
  • Let us know you are part of the same group, by phone or on WhatsApp, when you book or right after.
  • We confirm all the cars and periods and apply an extra 5% discount to each one, shown directly in the final contracts.
  • Any loyalty discount already active in a group member's account stays, and the extra 5% is then applied to the remaining amount, one after the other, so nothing is lost.

Savings example

Let's say a group of 6 friends rents 3 cars from our fleet for a 4-day city break in Cluj-Napoca, at a total (before the discount) of 480€ for all 3 cars, an average of 160€ per car. For the friends without any other active discount, the 5% group discount is simply applied to the car price: 160€ becomes 152€, so 8€ saved on that car.

If one of the group members already has a 10% loyalty discount from previous rentals, the discounts are applied one after the other, they are not added up as percentages: first the 10% (160€ becomes 144€), then the extra 5% group discount on the remaining amount (144€ becomes 136.80€). That saves 23.20€ on that car, a combined discount of about 14.5%, not 15%. The exact amount depends on the cars chosen and the length of the rental, and is calculated by our team when the booking is confirmed.

When a group of customers rents at least 2 cars from Simple Rent at the same time, for the same period or overlapping periods, we apply an extra 5% discount to every car in the group, on top of the rates already shown on the website. Just tell us, when you book or right after, that you are part of a group renting several cars, and our team will confirm and apply the discount before the contracts are signed.

At least 2 cars, booked by the same group (an extended family, a group of friends, a team or a company), for the same period or periods that overlap significantly. It does not matter whether you choose the same model or different models from the fleet, the 5% discount applies to every car in the group. The more of you there are and the more cars you rent, the more you save in total.

Yes. If you already have an account on simplerent.ro and have earned a loyalty discount from previous rentals, the two discounts are applied one after the other, they are not simply added up as percentages: first the loyalty discount is deducted from the price, then the extra 5% group discount is applied to the remaining amount. For example, 10% loyalty followed by 5% group means a combined discount of about 14.5%, not 15%. It is one of the few benefits in Cluj-Napoca that stack this way, precisely because we want to reward both loyal customers and large groups.

Not necessarily identical, but the periods must largely overlap, so that it is clear it is the same group and the same event or trip. For example, two cars rented from Friday to Sunday qualify without any problem, even if one is picked up a few hours earlier.
